Ladybirds and butterflies

Today should have been a sewing day, but I got offered work at Chertsey Museum (paid work) so I did that instead. Usually they give me the fabric related courses, but this was nature, science and wood!  They were obviously desperate!

We made ladybird hotels

And butterfly feeding stations

Chertsey Museum

Photos: this first photo shows an amazing flimsy given to one on the museum volunteers, Kay. It's 3 meters square, made from biggish Hexies, in a variety of fabrics.

It's too big for a bed, but we discussed chopping it into six children's quilts, and a variety of other ideas
