Today's craft at Chertsey Museum was Junk Weaving Wall Art. We started with a shoe box lid, and cut small V notches in both short ends (same number in each, generally 7, 8 or 9) and wound string or wool around them, settling in each notch, then knotting at the back.
This created our warp, then we hit the junk table to create the weft . . .
Some amazing ideas, and great art, all from junk . . . and I caught some mums enjoying themselves too!
